[to do] Four more Big Bangs due...

I completed three Big Bangs in the last month or two, but I still have four left: kinked, ladiesbigbang, scifibigbang and hardmode. They're all due at the same time, at the end of August. I also have four essays to write (1,600 words each) and an exam to sit in Anglo-Saxon, and consequently a shitload of translation work to do, not to mention research.

So. A timetable! My essays are due on the 10th and the 17th of May. Two on each date. I don't remember exactly which is which, so I might have to rearrange this...

kinked: Get first draft done by 20th April.
Crime Fiction essay: Get first draft done by 25th April.
Women's Poetry essay: Get first draft done by 30th April.
Sir Gawain and the Green Knight essay: Get first draft done by 5th May.
Myth & Saga essay: Get first draft done by 10th May.
ladiesbigbang: Get first draft done by 15th June.
hardmode: Get first draft done by 1st July.
scifibigbang: Get first draft done by 15th August.

Obstacles: Anglo-Saxon exam, moving out of my flat, driving lessons, a summer job, my twenty-first birthday.

I'm doing a Supernatural AU in which a minor female character who appears in one episode, Cassie, learns to hunt demons. I was most excited about getting to write this once I'd finished my spn_j2_bigbang fic, but man, I feel burned out now. Need to work on shorter stuff for a bit.

Re: Burnout - just how are you doing with all of those long projects? Is that easier (or harder?) than lots of smaller fics?

For me, it's harder, because writing long fic is just not my forte. It's good for me, though, because it forces me to write regularly, and to expand my writing more.

That's a lot of big bangs at once, but you can doo eet.

Also I must say that three of your essays sound like really awesome topics (women's poetry, gawain, myth & saga). If you need a proofreading hand with any of that, feel free to ask. (I've done loads of academic editing and I enjoy it).

The essays, short as they are, will be the hardest part -- the thought of all the research alone gives me a headache.

Yeah. Research-heavy stuff is always draining. But maybe the Big Bang stuff will end up being a bit of a reward? At least, I imagine it could be if it comes easier.
