[word war/help!] page a day?

Is anyone else here a member of page_a_day? What type of goals have you set? I'm probably going to aim for 500 words a day on stories, since I'm having Issues at the moment. Would anyone be interested in.. I don't know. PMing each other the daily writing as proof it's been done? Or maybe setting a "word wars" goal (like "do a 30 minute word war with XXX" goal"), where people can poke each other in IM or PM and do timed writing together?

I need to write at least 1,000 words a day for the next little while, so I wouldn't mind helping out. I'd rather not share what I've been writing, since it's likely to be bad at first and I'm obsessive, but daily check-ins via IM or PM would definitely work...

Word wars against me tend to be demotivating for some people, because of how fast I can write (30 mins = 2,000 words or more). If that's not going to be a problem, doing thirty minute word wars would be awesome.

-laughs- Oh, I can totally understand. I'm going to be working in a world that's not fully formed (though it's the best-formed world I have!) so I'm expecting some glaring inconsistencies and shit like that. -laughs- Maybe we can set a time to email/IM/PM each other with our daily word count? Email might be best because then we can thread things and keep track of any trends that might show up.

Well, if you don't mock me for my crazytiny word count, I'd happily word war with you. At least then I'd see improvement easily. XD

I'd never mock! 2,000 words is the highest I can really hit -- limited by my typing speed -- so I'll probably be fairly constant in my word counts. *laughs*

For the moment, both would be great. We seem to have a reasonable overlap in when we're both online, so shouldn't be too hard to arrange.

Travelling tomorrow, so while I should write 1,000 words and we can check-in with each other, I can't do a word war.
