Hai, I be Sasha. Saw amethystfirefly  pimping it and decided to rock up. Might help me get things done for once.

Main fandoms: I am often a fandom of one. I am engaged in a journey to find/discover/found the most obscure RPS fandoms in existence and write fic for them. Basic groups are Australian comedy, Australian politics, and obscure bandslash.
Favourite characters/pairings: Ohh, um. Well, it changes, depending on what I'm writing. I've never really had favourites.
Favourite writing tool: Currently falling in love with little WordPad-like program called Jarte. It is everything I wished WordPad would be. Okay, I only got it for the wordcount thing, but still. XD OH. yWriter 5. I luffs that program. <3
Working on: I've got fic for au_bigbang to finish editing - I'm also doing my own soundtrack and leet grafix. I've signed up for two prompts for lgbtfest (I'm a fulltime uni student, why do I do this to myself? D:) and I'm writing various pieces for musing_way (for three muses, no less), amongst other things ranging from one-shots to novels. Etcetera.

Yeah, it should be epic at any rate, when I get around to spending some time with planning, world-building, etc. Basically, it's set on Mars 3.8bn years ago, just when life was beginning to emerge on Earth. The space pixies came from outside the solar system and had a colony on Mars, but the water on Mars is drying up so they have to flee. Where do they go? Earth. And there they meet fairies. Or something. IDK. It's still kinda vague in my head at the moment, but I do like it as an idea. So we'll see how it turns out.

...I have a feeling I was reading about pixie and fairy mythology at the time and wanted to create some sort of cosmic epic about it. Or at least that's what it became. My brain, it is weird. Also, I've never written a trilogy before. I have one character, who has a name I keep forgetting. This is going well, isn't it? :D

Thanks. It's my first big bang as well, and it's been a fun journey. I was lucky that I had enough time to write most of it before uni started, which made things much easier. Good luck with yours as well.

hahaha. That's what happened with the Islands. I'm still trying to figure out how to connect the two worlds properly.

Mine's set in Australia. One story was set in the West (vaguely ordered chaos and neglect with cowboys), the other in the East (shiny modern democracy that has a rotten core). I'm still not entirely sure about how to blend the stories together, though I'm looking at, say, one chapter from one, another from the second, and so on, if only because it would make things easier when they come together.

And Wild West Heroes started out as fanfic, but the characters kinda morphed and became something else so it didn't take much work to make the whole thing original. I just wanted to write a sci-fi western and this is what I end up with. XD

That sounds so interesting. And I think that switching chapters until they're brought together would be neat.

Maybe the Eastern country tries to colonize the West and that's what brings them together?

They're part of the same country. What happened was that 40 years or so ago, the Government 'claimed' there was a plague in three of the states (West. Aust, South Aust and the Northern Territory) and forcibly quarantined them from the rest of the country for a period of 50 years. It was, however, an extravagant measure to hide the fact the Government were really handing the land to the Chinese - mining, land, etc.

But of course the quarantined region gets neglected and run down and there's not much society or government to keep things going. It takes about 35 years before anything begins to settle, and the Chinese begin to exert their influence over the region. In a stroke of irony, the Chinese end up being more of an ally than the rest of the country because they brought money and law enforcement - of a kind. So things could get built up again. But it's still a place of cowboys, rustlers, mercenaries, and organised crime. Very basic technology. Anything advanced has been smuggled in as a lot of the infrastructure was damaged near the start of the quarantine due to looting and powerful groups emerging to fight for dominance.

The East has gotten to the point where one political party effectively rules all the other parties bar one, the Pride Party. They started off championing LGBT rights, but they've changed their manifesto to fight for human rights, no matter sexuality, gender, religion, etc. This is especially important to their leader, Rogue, a Senator, who is concerned about what the real plans are for the quarantined area ad the people living in it. Everyone of voting age is also required to join a political party. They don't care (much) which one, just so long as you're a member. They see it as a more effective way of ensuring political participation and strengthening democracy by having a flourishing civil society. At least, that's what they'll tell you.

So Rogue goes off looking to expose the Government and kick out the Chinese and let the West Coast countries secede and form their own country. Even in a shiny democracy, such as it is, this is not looked upon with favour by the Government and they do their best to stop him. And he ends up having to go into the west and meets up - eventually - with my MCs from the west. So that's where the two stories meet. And... I haven't thought of the ending yet. Go me. XD

Yeah, it'll be awesome when it finally gets done, but yes. It's currently sitting at around 60k all up. I might, at some stage, have to go through and more strictly designate who the main characters and supporting characters are. It's getting to be a big cast and it would be nice to limit the number of MCs as much as possible.

Mine don't really like to shut up. Right now I'm having to hold back others 'cause they're so talkative. Oh, they're very much aware that they're muses, but they don't break the fourth wall in community like the one you have with wings. XD He's amusing though. Your muse that is.

Yeah, Craig's a bastard like that. My other two muses? Perfectly happy to stay in character. Craig? IDEK. He does what he wants. His muse form has wings, but he'll take on whatever appearance he likes in fic. He also thinks he can win the current contest there by writing a bunch of 1000+ word fics set in the universe for a fanfic novel I just finished, as if I care about his background prior to that story. XD Can't we just leave that universe alone? I've got other things to write, you know. Like, stuff for my other muses. D:

I'm probably going to be posting mostly with my Cloud Strife muse this month. I've been in the mood for FFVII fic anyways and there's so much I can do with the prompts anyways. I probably won't write epic 1,000 word posts 'cause I save that for fanfiction. Plus the muses usually don't really spend that long on writing because it often brings bad memories to them. Yeah, I feel their emotions when they write through me and man, I sound kinda crazy now.

I'm happy to let Craig run with his epic posts because trying to get him to be serious when answering prompts is not exactly easy. XD If it makes him happy, I'm all for it. Sure, it's more like fanfic, but my schedule isn't really conducive to writing proper one-shots at the moment, so this is really my main outlet. Even if he is an irritating prick. XD

I don't think you sound crazy, I've had this happen as well. Andrew, one of my other muses, is particularly bad if he's feeling depressed, because that just makes me feel depressed and it isn't a nice feeling. Well. He just sort of floats off into his head and ignores everything else. Getting him to come back can be tricky. It's why I let him bring Charles along because Charles seems able to keep him grounded and sane. Most of the time. XD Well, Charles and the music. That keeps him relatively okay.
