Favorite Writing Tool: Word. It's easy to use and I'm lazy.
Original Fiction Genres: Urban fantasy, scifi, fiction
Nearly Working On: I have a few novel ideas I'd like to get out of my brain an onto paper, hopefully soon.

I don't have any major deadlines coming up in fanfic at the moment, but I am a horrible, awful procrastinator and I need motivation in the form of a kick in the pants or possibly a lot of poking. I'm trying to focus more on original fiction at the moment, as I'm taking a class in creative writing and there are deadlines I have to meet.

Also, does anyone here know of any good comms to post fic to? I'm new to Dreamwidth in general and have no idea where to start.

The only community I post my fic to is pantheon, but that's a prompt community, so.. Can't really help you.

Welcome! I have no clue about fic communities but if you hang out or ask on three_weeks_for_dw they've been doing fic comm linkspam so you might find communities for you.

I only really know fandom specific comms, I'm afraid. I'd echo majoline's suggestion about asking on three_weeks_for_dw, though.

I did interest searches on fanfic, Doctor Who, firefly and NCIS and found a few comms that might work for you:

multi_fiction
dwfiction
firefly - general comm but they allow fic to be posted
ff_fanfic
ncis discussion and announcement (including fic) comm
ncis_fic - hasn't been updated in a while, but maybe if you post to it, you'll poke some life into it?

These were just a few that I picked out, so you probably want to look at the search results some more or try different search terms of your own. *g*
